THOT. What does this mean?
A word I had only known as a single-family dwelling had been redefined. Peculiar phrases using "the house" were popping up everywhere; "Let’s rock the House", "The House of Pain", "Who’s in the House?" I found myself both enamored and amused by the prevalence of "the house". I began to think of different ways to employ my creativity to incorporate "the house" into my interactions with others. During the same timeframe, I was beginning to lead project teams and had grown more and more concerned with boosting morale and stimulating thought. I went to school for engineering and like any good engineer, I occasionally spell phonetically, and I love to combine ideas and make up new abbreviations. Putting that skill set to work.
My thoughts

Tim’s House
The House of Tim = T.H.O.T.
Combined, misspelled and de-dotted: THOT
Epiphany! I could share thots from T.H.O.T. Life was definitely better.
THOTs - Why?
I remember sharing a THOT with some people and thinking that I had wasted everyone’s time. Several years later, in a disheartened state, I made some less than uplifting remarks to one of those people. Unexpectedly, the person stared me directly in the eyes and challenged me to remember what I had said long ago. His conviction intensified as he recalled how one of my THOTs had encouraged him during a rotten stretch It was time for the patient to heal the doctor. I felt small, pathetic, but strangely renewed; I realized that I should continue to share my THOTs.
Introducing THOTs
In this section I intend to share my thoughts, insights, and opinions. I will attempt to weave my unique blend of life experience into ideas that challenge and uplift the reader.
